How much does it cost to attend Gettysburg Seminary?

Approximately 40% of each seminarian’s tuition is provided through scholarships from Gettysburg Seminary and the ELCA Fund for Leaders in Mission. Tuition, however, is just one piece of the cost of attending seminary. The table below shows an estimated budget for a single student living on campus for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Tuition (now includes fees)  $13,050
Books  $900
Housing  $5,400
Seminarian health insurance  $2,500
Food & household supplies  $3,500
Transportation $4,950
Misc. personal expenses  $4,250

Your contributions to Gettysburg Seminary help keep the cost of tuition low and enable us to provide even more scholarship support, lowering the total cost of attendance for those answering the call to public ministry.
